Il talentuoso kartista 17enne Alex Irlando ha firmato un accordo con l’agenzia di marketing e comunicazione romana Petrolhead Italia.

Figlio di un pilota di gare in salita, Alex salta su un go-kart per la prima volta a due anni e mezzo e comincia a gareggiare nel 2007. Dopo aver vinto le Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals nel 2015 nella categoria Senior, nel 2016 Alex passa alla KZ2 finendo terzo la WSK Super Master Series e quarto l’Europeo CIK-FIA KZ2 con i colori della Energy Corse. La ciliegina sulla torta della stagione 2016 è stato il SuperCorso Federale CSAI tenutosi a Vallelunga che ha visto Alex impegnato in tre giorni di formazione alla guida di Formula 4 e Lamborghini SuperTrofeo. Nel 2017 è passato ai colori arancione-nero del costruttore francese Sodikart al fianco di due piloti esperti quali Bas Lammers ed il vice-campione del mondo 2016 Anthony Abbasse. Il pilota di Locorotondo, in provincia di Bari, quest’anno ha confermato il suo talento finendo al terzo posto il campionato europeo CIK-FIA KZ2.
